Kareena, Shahid refuse to shoot for ‘Milenge Milenge’ songs

Mumbai: Once lovebirds, now strangers - Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur have refused to shoot for two newly recorded songs of ‘Milenge Milenge’ (irony in the title!) by Himesh Reshammiya. The two have been avoiding each other like plague in interviews, events and functions, and they don’t want anything to do with each other anymore. Much to the consternation of Boney Kapoor, their refusal includes shooting for their delayed film’s songs. Evidently they cannot avoid being in news now, as their film will be released shortly. Boney Kapoor’s film has been pending for five long years, and the producer was keen to have them together for the film atleast. However, it seems there will be no ‘Milenge Milenge’ for Shahid-Kareena. A source close to Kareena said to a news daily, “Kareena is more than happy to extend all cooperation to producer Boney Kapoor and director Satish Kaushik, but she won’t shoot an extra songs for the film. Shahid is a closed chapter.” Reportedly, the estranged couple will also not do any joint appearances to promote the film. So, Satish Kaushik has decided to use old footages and include the song in the beginning as well as at the end. Confirming the news, Kaushik says, “Neither Shahid nor Kareena will shoot any more for the film. We’ll use the footage that we have for the two songs in the beginning and end-titles and for the promotional video.”
