Viacom 18 Motion Pictures will co-produce `Dabangg` director Abhinav Kashyap`s forthcoming movie `Project 18` and Australian filmmaker Bill Bennett`s venture, to be shot in India.

Mumbai: Viacom 18 Motion Pictures will co-produce `Dabangg` director Abhinav Kashyap`s forthcoming movie `Project 18` and Australian filmmaker Bill Bennett`s venture, to be shot in India.
Kashyap`s second directorial outing, which is tentatively titled `Project 18` will be produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Australian Production Company Temple Productions.
"We have tentatively titled the film `Project 18`. It is going to be a Hindi masala movie with a tinge of romance, action, comedy and thriller in it. The film be go on floors in the last quarter of this year and will be released mid next year. It will be shot in Australia," Kashyap told PTI in an interview.
I feel it is a commendable initiative which will be a huge milestone in Indian cinema, Kashyap said.
Under the initiative of the five-day Australian Film Festival of India (AFFI), Viacom 18 today said that through Kashyap`s film (to be shot in Australia) and Bennett`s film (in India) it intends to broaden the relation between the two countries.
"My film will be shot in India. I am excited to do a film in a country which is known for its diverse culture and heritage. We are in the scripting stage and once we it is done the cast will be finalised," Bennett said.
Viacom 18 Motion Pictures COO Vikram Malhotra said, "we are delighted that our forthcoming film, directed by Kashyap will benefit from an extremely film-friendly Australia. With this we will win the hearts of millions of fans in both the countries."
