Katie Melua’s diving nightmare

Georgian/British singer Katie Melua had a brush with death when her breathing apparatus failed while she was diving.

London: Georgian/British singer Katie Melua had a brush with death when her breathing apparatus failed while she was diving. The 25-year-old crooner is known for her love for extreme sports.
But her passion turned into a nightmare when air supply was cut off while she was diving in a lake near Heathrow Airport in west London. "Katie Melua went diving yesterday and had an `I`m about to die` moment when her air supply was cut off, nearly drowning her. That girl!" a news daily quoted Mike Batt, her collaborator, as writing on his Twitter account. He later updated his page, writing: "Yep Katie is fine now, but she was really scared 15 metres underwater in a black lake, and breath apparatus failed. She loves a thrill, but..." A spokeswoman for the singer said, "She had a fright but she is absolutely fine." ANI
