New Delhi: Aishwarya Rai – who was heavily criticized last year for her massive post pregnancy weight gain – seems to have taken it all quite seriously for her 12th Cannes appearance.
According to DNA, dressed in a black outfit, which she teamed with yellow shoes, the former Miss World was spotted at Nice airport with her 18-month-old daughter Aaradhya.
Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to inform all his followers “Aishwarya is the guest of honour at a special evening celebrating 100 years of Indian cinema on Sunday (May 19) and will then walk the red carpet on May 20.”
Amitabh himself is also present at the esteemed event for his Hollywood debut alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in ‘The Great Gatsby’.
The beauty queen – who is famous for her beautiful eyes – was slammed by her fans, followers and critics alike for weight gain with pictures of her with a double chin and a lot of fat around the tummy area doing the rounds on the Internet.
A bevy of Bollywood beauties including Vidya Balan, Sonam Kapoor, Freida Pinto and Mallika Sherawat have already vowed the audience at this year’s Cannes Film Festival with their impeccable choice of ethnic dresses.
We hope Aishwarya doesn’t give a chance to set tongues wagging even this year!
