Rihanna tells critics of ‘man down’ video ‘she’s a rockstar not a mum’

London: Rihanna has defended her controversial new video ‘Man down’ on her Twitter page after it had caused an uproar from the ‘Parent television council’, insisting that ‘this is the real world’.

In the video, the singer was seen taking revenge on a rapist by gunning him down in a crowded train station. Taking to her Twitter page the singer attacked her critics, as she claimed that she was a ‘rockstar not a parent’ and she had ‘the freedom to make art’. “I’m a 23 year old rockstar with NO KIDS! What’s up with everybody wanting me to be a parent? I’m just a girl, I can only be your/our voice!” the Daily Mail reported Rihanna as writing. And in an apparent direct response to the ‘Parent teacher council’ she added: “Cuz we all know how difficult/embarrassing it is to communicate touchy subject matters to anyone especially our parents!” “The music industry isn’t exactly Parents R Us! We have the freedom to make art, LET US! Its your job to make sure they don’t turn out like US,” the singer wrote. ANI
