Shakira to feature in `Ugly Betty`

London: Colombian pop star Shakira is set to take a plunge into the small screen with a cameo in hit series `Ugly Betty`.

The `ips Don`t Lie`hitmaker will play herself in an episode of the show, reports contactmusic.com. "We`ve mentioned her several times over the course of the series and have always wanted to work with her. She`s an enormous Latina icon, as is Betty, and we thought it was a perfect fit," Silvio Horta, the creator of the show, has been quoted as saying. IANS
