Washington, May 14: Jennifer Hudson revisited memories of her mother, who along with the singer’s brother and seven-year-old nephew were found murdered in their Chicago home last year. The Dreamgirls actress revealed she shared a close bond with mum Darnell Donerson and had been a mama``s girl.
"I was always a mama`s baby. I`d go and sleep in her bed until I was 15 years old," People magazine quoted Jennifer as telling Essence in the magazine`s June issue. The Oscar-winner’s fiancé David Otunga said amongst their cause of worries were the questions Hudson would have to face about the tragedy when she jumped back into work. He said: "We don`t talk about it. In this time when things seem so uncertain for her, there is certainty in our bond. She doesn`t have to worry about losing me. I`m always going to be right here." Jennifer further revealed her faith helped her to deal with the horrors of her slain family. She said: "The thing that keeps me going is knowing that God is in control. It`s like, if He placed me here then I must be prepared." ANI
