Susan Sarandon says she began `cougar` trend

Susan Sarandon says she should be blamed for inventing the term `cougar`

London: Hollywood star Susan Sarandon says she should be blamed for inventing the term `cougar` because she referred herself as a prowling big cat when she was in her 30s.
The 63-year-old, who separated from long-time partner Tim Robbins, says she used to poke fun at herself for snaring the actor, who is 12 years her junior. "I invented the word cougar. I started that about 30 years ago" Sarandon told a magazine. The actress, who won an Oscar for her performance in the 1995 film `Dead Man Walking`, has a daughter Eva Amurri from her relationship with director Franco Amurri and two sons--Jack Henry and Miles Guthrie -- from her relationship with Robbins. The couple decided to go on their separate ways last year after a relationship of 24-years. PTI
