Coppola and Mars exchange wedding vows

London: Filmmaker Sofia Coppola and her longterm musician partner Thomas Mars have exchanged their wedding vows in Italy.

"The Lost in Translation" director married Mars at her father Francis Ford Coppola`s lavish estate in Bernalda Aug 27, reports contactmusic.com. Coppola wore a custom-made lavender bridal gown and the guest list included actor Johnny Depp and filmmaker George Lucas. "Everything went well. It was simple, calm, in the garden. If they wanted to do a Hollywood wedding, they wouldn`t have done it here. They chose to do it here because it`s here - it`s here that is beautiful," said Leonardo Chiruzzi, who performed the civil ceremony. The pair already has two children, Roma, 4, and 15-months-old Cosima. IANS
