Katrina eyeing meatier roles, steps out of ‘Rave Party’

Mumbai, Jan 05: Katrina Kaif, the eye-catching doll of Bollywood, wants to show she can do much more than make men go weak with her smiles. In an effort to display her acting talents, she has become choosy when it comes to selecting roles. ‘Rave Party’, the cinematic adaptation of the infamous Scarlett Keeling murder case that deformed the scenic Goa-beach images, was to cast her but Kat has reportedly opted out of the flick. It was reported in a news daily that Katrina had agreed to play the fun-loving partying teenager, who gets killed midway (most probably in the first half itself) and has no more role in the movie. But on second thoughts, she did not find much to do her acting skills justice in the flick, and opted out. It is still uncertain how far the agreement had gone when Kat stepped out, because the popular movies database in internet imdb.com mentioned her name among the cast when this story was being published. The director, Prabhakar Shukla, is now looking for a foreign face to play Scarlett. Buzz also has it that South Indian director Venkat Prabhu is also making ‘Goa’ based on the same storyline.
