Mumbai: The film industry might be abuzz with reports of Madhuri Dixit signing on to play Indira Gandhi in Krishna Shah’s film on the political icon, but the actress says that she’s still pondering over the same.According to reports, Madhuri has still not made up her mind and is weighing all the pros and cons associated with the project. “Yes, Shah did meet me with the script. I read it and I am really impressed with the research he has done. I consider Indira Gandhi my idol, so it would be a privilege to play her. But I haven`t agreed yet as I need to sort out a lot of other issues. My secretary, Rikku Rakeshnath, is figuring that out,” says the actress.
It is believed that Shah is pretty keen on casting Mads, so much so that he took a computerised image of the actress as Indira Gandhi with him when he went to meet her all the way to Denver.
Some industry sources also suggest that the flick, as and when it happens, can result in a major Hollywood-Bollywood alliance with reports of Shah approaching Hollywood biggies such as Tom Hanks and Tommy Lee Jones for the same. Actor Abhay Deol is expected to play Rajiv Gandhi, at least for now.
