Mumbai: Mallika Sherawat is courting trouble again. The actress, who is always surrounded by controversies, has received yet another blow as the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) has taken strict action against her. Mallika, who had received Rs 25 lakh for Kundan Shah’s ‘Masquerade’, refused to return the money after walking out of the film, thus forcing the filmmakers to take serious action against her. And now Studio 18 that had filed a case against Mallika Sherawat in IMPAA has won the case, with the association sending a notice to Mallika Sherawat to return 50 percent of the signing amount. Confirming the news Shariq Patel, Sr Vice President of Studio 18 said, “We had gone to IMPPA with a case against her to return our signing amount and the association has ruled in our favour. They sent a letter to Mallika on May 26 and have instructed her to return 50 per cent of our signing amount for Kundan Shah’s film Masquerade. It’s a victory for us.” When asked for his reaction, ace director Kundan Shah said, “It’s none of my business. Studio 18 decided to shelve the project with or without Mallika. Mallika backed out from the film and they took a decision not to make film at all.”
