New Delhi: After weeks of hard work, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij won the fifth season of TV reality dance show ‘Nach Baliye 5’.
The couple has been the most consistent performers. The judges had said they were the most deserving couple out of the four finalists.
The winning jodi of ‘Nach Baliye-5’ was announced by the three judges - Shilpa Shetty, Terrence Lewis and Sajid Khan - after the finale week got nearly 50 lakh votes, taking the overall voting numbers to nearly two crore for the season.
The show began Dec 29, 2012 with 11 couples who are popular TV actors. The judge`s panel comprised director Sajid Khan, choreographer Terrence Lewis and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.
The 40-year-old actress performed on the finale after three years. She tweeted while shooting: "On the sets of "Nach Baliye" shooting my performance. Dancing after three years."
The series was hosted by Karan Wahi and Gautam Rode.
The remaining finalists were TV host Jay Bhanushali and wife Mahhi Vij, `Bhabho` from "Diya aur Baati Hum" aka Neelu Vaghela and her husband Arvind Kumar; Ravi Dubey and his girlfriend Sargun Mehta from "Kya Hua Tera Vada"; and "Housewife Hai Sab Jaanti Hai" fame Suhasi and Jaisheel Dhami.
