Sensex recovered after falling 300 points in the early morning trade on weak IIP data

A benchmark index for Indian equities, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) trading at 25,660.41, around 216 points down, and recovered after slipping 300 points in the early morning trade.

Mumbai: A benchmark index for Indian equities, the sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) trading at 25,660.41, around 216 points down, and recovered after slipping 300 points in the early morning trade.

The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading lower at 7,764.55 points, with a loss of 60.45 points.

The 30-share Sensex opened at 25,637.13 points, against the previous close at 25,866.95 points on Wednesday (November 11). 

At 9.34 a.m. it was ruling at 25,615.29 points, with a loss of 251.66 points, or 0.97 percent.
