Mumbai: While everyone was expecting that the ‘Munnabhai’ makers would rope in Ranbir Kapoor for their next venture, things have turned out to be different. The buzz about Ranbir doing the next ‘Munnabhai’ broke out after Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raju Hirani reportedly met the actor in Los Angeles. However, most recently, Raju has denied going to America and he has categorically said that Ranbir Kapoor will not be a part of their new project.
“Whenever the next Munnabhai film will be made, it will be made with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi,” Raju said.
It has been clarified that Vidhu had met Ranbir for some other reason and Raju was into hiding to escape the humdrum surrounding after the super success of ‘3 Idiots’. Raju is still working on the script ‘Munnabhai Chale Amrika’ and he is very busy with some pending work on ‘3 Idiots’.
But the hiding and meditation course has rejuvenated the director. “The first day I was worried about messages and calls. But from the next day on, it was sheer happiness to not have a phone,” he said.
The director is planning his next film but it can be some other film and not necessarily a ‘Munnabhai’.
