New York: ‘America`s Got Talent’ grabbed the night`s top ratings for NBC on Wednesday, while Fox won the evening overall with ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ according to preliminary numbers.
‘Talent’ at 9 p.m. tied its summer low with a 2.7 rating/8 share in the adults 18-49 demographic and 10.3 million total viewers. It was preceded at 8 p.m. by ‘Minute to Win it,’ which was down 15 percent versus its last original broadcast on July 13 with a 1.1/4 in the demographic and 4.7 million total viewers. ‘Love in the Wild’ closed the night for the network at 10 p.m., enjoying a 7 percent uptick with a 1.8/5 and 5.1 million total viewers.
Fox won the overall night in the demographic, thanks to ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ which aired from 8-10 p.m., garnering a 2.0/6 and 5.9 million total viewers, or a 5 percent increase in total viewership over last week.
ABC ran repeats, apart from ‘Primetime Nightline: Beyond Belief,’ which received a 1.0/3 in the demographic and 3.4 million total viewers.
CBS` ‘Big Brother’ at 8 p.m. was the second-highest rated show of the night despite a 12 percent dip from last week, with a 2.3/8 and 6.6 million total viewers. Otherwise CBS aired repeats.
