London: Hitting the market just in time for the festive season, Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince has sold like hot cakes becoming the fastest selling DVD of 2009.
Nearly 840,000 copies, with 53,000 Blu-Ray versions, were sold out just hours after the DVD was released.
"We`re delighted by the extraordinary first day sales performance of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," the Mirror quoted John Stanley, managing director of Warner Home Video, as saying.
The film was available for sale from Monday.
