London: Singer George Michael says he will never adopt a child because he is ‘too embarrassing’ to be a dad.The former Wham! star admits he will not follow in Sir Elton John’s footsteps because his kids would be mortified by his wild past.
He said any youngsters would be bullied over his drug and casual sex antics. Michael, who spent a month in prison for drug-driving last year, spoke out just weeks after pal John, 63, and civil partner David Furnish, 48, became dads. The Careless Whisper says he would not be going down the same route with his own long-term partner Kenny Goss, 51. Asked if he would ever consider having children. “Can you imagine? No, thank God I didn’t. Can you imagine being George Michael’s son at school?” the Daily Star quoted him as telling Radio 2 breakfast. “I don’t think he is quite as embarrassing as George Michael,” the singer said about Elton. “It’s a resolute no and I’m 47 and I congratulate Elton and I’m very happy for him but it’s not something that’s in my future,” he said.
