China stocks higher in morning trade

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.10 percent, or 1.98 points, to 2,052.21.

Chinese stocks were higher in morning trade Thursday after an unexpected rise in the previous session improved investor expectations, dealers said.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.10 percent, or 1.98 points, to 2,052.21.

The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China`s second exchange, edged up 0.08 percent, or 0.87 points, to 1,064.09.
