Anthony Hopkins is a true curry lover

`Hannibal` actor Anthony Hopkins may have no taste for human entrails in real life but the British actor is a fan of spicy Indian food.

London: `Hannibal` actor Anthony Hopkins may have no taste for human entrails in real life but the British actor is a fan of spicy Indian food. The Academy winning acting legend stunned diners at an Indian restaurant by ordering a red-hot curry without any rice or bread.
The 71-year-old actor, who immortalised the character of Hannibal Lecter in `Silence of the Lambs`, wolfed down the chicken vindaloo at the Spice Merchant in Cardiff Bay, reported Mirror online. Owner Mike Ahmed, who runs the restaurants said, "Sir Anthony came in with a party of eight colleagues and ordered chicken vindaloo with absolutely no accompaniments. "We offered him rice and naan to help calm down the dish, but surprisingly he declined and polished off his meal. To me, this was a sign of a curry aficionado, an expert who knew what he wanted and could handle the heat." The restaurant which is a favourite eatery of music mogul Simon Cowell and England cricket captain Andrew Strauss, is now inviting daring customers to emulate the gastronomic feat and take the `Hopkins Challenge`, a straight chicken vindaloo with no accompaniments.
