Beijing: Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao has said more efforts should be made to reduce poverty in the country.
Unbalanced development between urban and rural areas still continue, Wen said during his three-day tour of Hunan province that ended Sunday, China Daily reported.
He said more efforts were needed to promote quality education, public healthcare and infrastructure development. Wen also visited the minority communities in the region.
