Mumbai: After her drab of a comeback in Aditya Chopra’s ‘Aaja Nachle’, Madhuri Dixit is gearing for yet another riposte of sorts.
The actress, known for her mesmerizing dancing abilities, will now grace the small screen. And believe it or not, but Madhuri will be seen shaking a leg on a desi dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. The show that will soon begin its fifth season will have Madhuri as a special guest.
According to sources, the channel’s top officials called up Madhuri Dixit requesting her to participate in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5’. Confirming the news, a source told a daily, “Our show is very popular. Madhuri is a treat to watch when she dances. Her presence will be an asset.”
Well, considering Madhuri happens to be one of the very rare B-town actresses that Kathak Maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj has lauded personally, her act on the telly will surely be looked forward to.
“Madhuri is quite open to the idea of coming to India and doing this show. She is seriously considering the offer. The modalities are being worked out,” adds the source.
The news further gains weight by the fact that Madhuri’s secretary Rakeshnath didn’t deny the news. “It’s all at a very nascent stage. There is nothing official as yet. Madhuri gets lots of offers every now and then,” said Rikku.
