Cinderella has been voted Britain`s all-time favourite fairy tale.

London: Cinderella has been voted Britain`s all-time favourite fairy tale in a new poll. As many as 4,000 adults were questioned in the survey conducted by Sky Broadband.
The classic story of Cinderella dates back to the 1st century BC in Egypt and has been adapted into panto, operas, ballets and films. "I adore Cinderella and love reading it to my children. It`s the ultimate rags to riches story," a news daily quoted pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who is fronting the campaign, as saying. `Beauty and the Beast` dating back to 1740, has been voted the second favourite. `A Christmas Carol` published in 1843, was third, followed by The Wizard of Oz and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
