New Delhi: She has made headlines herself. But Dimpy Ganguly, who tied the knot with Rahul Mahajan on national TV, confesses that she will be as dumbfounded as any other girl when she meets Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Argentina for Imagine TV`s upcoming reality show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’.
"I am a huge fan of Shah Rukh! I have been seeing his films and I have always been in awe of him just like every other Indian girl. I think I will be quite dumbfounded when I meet him because I am such a big fan of his work. I don`t know what I will do," Dimpy gushed with excitement while talking to reporters over phone from Argentina.
But she does have an idea to deal with her over-excitement!
"I think I will rehearse a full speech for the first time that I meet him," she said, and burst out laughing.
The 21-year-old Bengali beauty was an upcoming model before entering the reality show ‘Rahul Ka Swayamvar’, and ended up getting married to the infamous son of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan.
She has left her husband behind in Mumbai to join 27 other celebrities who are taking part in ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’, an adventure series which is an Indian adaptation of internationally popular show ‘Wipeout’. The show involves a lot of water-based tasks, and Dimpy is upbeat about it.
"This show is very different from other reality shows. We have so much fun and masti with each other. And I am also enjoying it all the more because of my love for sports and adventure…I have been a swimmer all through my school and college life and I love being in water. It`s like being in Water Kingdom or Essel World all the time," she said.
On the show, Shah Rukh will be challenging all the participants with a series of hilarious tasks, which Dimpy is finding a tad "difficult".
"We have been sort of doing trials for the real game and the obstacles are difficult. All of us just keep falling into the water over and over again, we keep getting drenched…but all in all, it`s great fun! Now we are just waiting for Shah Rukh," she said.
What did Rahul think of her idea of participating on the show?
"Well, he was very excited at first. But when he thought over it for a while, he was upset that I would have to go far away for it. But then he came around and motivated me."
The duo tied the knot in March 2010, so any plans of starting a family?
"I think we are already a family…but if you ask that if we are planning to extend the family, well that will come with time…not yet," said Dimpy.
