New Delhi: When it comes to Bollywood, everybody knows about the unique marketing strategies. Be it Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh or Salman, they have done it all. Latest buzz doing rounds in the tinsel town is that John Abraham is going all the way to promote his upcoming movie ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’.
It seems that the hunk is taking his character, Sid, a bookseller in the movie, rather too seriously. John will replay his character and will be selling out copies of Mahatma Gandhi’s `My Experiments with Truth` at an upbeat bookshop in Mumbai.
John will also be helping people at the book store in choosing books. His act is a part of unique promotional technique for the film.
Moreover, John also wants to sell some romantic novels, as his film too, is a romantic love story with Pakhi Tyrewala, director Abbas Tyrewala’s wife.
Talking to a news daily, a source said, "In the film John`s character owns a book store called Kaagaz Ke Phool and sells books. He thought it would be a good idea to do the same at an actual store. Also since Saturday is Gandhi Jayanti, director Abbas Tyrewala thought it would a good idea to distribute copies of ‘My Experiments with Truth’. In the film John`s character is often caught lying, but in real life he wants to tell teenagers and the youth to speak the truth."
Well, what all we can do is to wish that John’s ‘Dostana’ with books will add some ‘Garam Masala’ to the film’s promotion, thereby making him achieve his ‘Goal’. ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ is all set to release on October 15, 2010.
