London:Filmmaker Danny Boyle is tipped to make the next 007 blockbuster after `Skyfall` director Sam Mendes shot down the offer.
Bond producer Barbara Broccoli is said to have chatted with Oscar-winner Boyle, 56, at London`s Empire Film Awards on Sunday, reported Sun Online.
`Trainspotting` director, who won the Empire Outstanding Contribution to Film gong, was hailed an Olympic hero for last year`s opening ceremony.
Veteran Bond producer Michael G Wilson had recently said,
"He certainly could be a Bond director."
