Swank gives handmade gifts to pals

London: Hilary Swank is trying to make Christmas special for her friends and family by giving knitted gifts to them. The `PS I Love You` star is ensuring that she adds her personal touch to every gift she gives this Christmas to her dear ones, Contactmusic reported.

The actress recently took up the hobby and is putting her new needle skills to test so that each of her loved ones` gifts are unique. However, she insists that her efforts aren`t always warmly received. "That`s actually something I like to do for the holidays. I like to give people unique gifts and I usually like to handmake them something. Most people don`t (appreciate it)!," said the 36-year-old actress. PTI
