Babies on show is child labour: Rakhi Sawant

Mumbai: Starlet Rakhi Sawant, who was criticised for mishandling a child on ‘Pati, Patni Aur Woh’, a reality show, has hit back at her retractors and blamed the kid’s parents instead. In a statement given to the media, the actress said, “ We can’t be blamed when parents volunteer their children. I myself agree that such young kids should not be subjected to such cruelty. Responsibility of children is with their parents, they should not have sent them in the show at the first place. This is wrong, as a woman, as a human being, I feel bad about it.” Prior to this, the actress, who has canned a few episodes where she’s playing mother to the kid in question, was subject to lambasting from all sections of the media as well as some social authorities who suggested that she didn’t know how to handle a kid well and that she was being reckless with the child. The actress, who is presently out of the reality show set up as the episodes have been shot for already, is leaving no stone unturned to defend herself.
