Mumbai: Sonam Kapoor may be the perfect blend of beauty and brains, but the young actress still appears to be quite naïve, when it comes to dealing with the veterans of the industry. Not long back, Sonam had offended her senior Aishwarya Rai Bachchan by calling her ‘Aunty Ji’, and most recently, the actress went ahead to the extent of taking a dig at veteran writer Shobha De on Twitter. However, Sonam seems to have realised her rather childish act now, as she’s finally tweeted a public apology to the renowned writer for the same. Her apology read, “Mrs de I owe you an apology for getting personal. I`m ashamed for my momentary lapse in judgement. And apologetic.. Every writer and journalist and audience are entitled to their opinion and I respect that.” Reports reveal that Shobha De had written a rather critical review of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’, which pretty much offended the director of the film, Punit Malhotra, as well as lead actress Sonam. So the two quite aggressively indulged in defending the flick on Twitter by taking a dig at the popular Indian writer by calling her ‘a fossil who’s getting no action’. Earlier, Sonam had offended Shobha by re-posting an unsavoury personal comment by Punit Malhotra on Twitter: “Guys pls (sic) don’t take Shobha De seriously. She’s a fossil who’s getting no action and going through menopause.” The actress seemed delighted with the incisive comment and also added ‘ha ha’. Later, when a furore began over their statements, Punit and Sonam deleted the comments from Twitter.
