Lata Mangeshkar Award for Ravi

Veteran music director Ravi will be conferred with the Lata Mangeshkar Award.

Mumbai: Veteran music director Ravi and noted playback singer Anuradha Podwal will be conferred with the Lata Mangeshkar Award in Indore on December 4.

Ravi will be honoured with the award for 2008-09 and Anuradha for 2009-10, officials said. The award function has been put off due to various reasons for the last two years. The four-day programme will begin on December 4 and top names of the music industry including Kailash Kher, Kavita Seth and KK will be participating in it. The Lata Mangeshkar award, instituted by the Madhya Pradesh government has been so far been given away to 24 music personalities including Naushad, Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle. PTI
