Daniel Radcliffe disinterested in `The Hobbit`

`Harry Potter` star Daniel Radcliffe has shot down the possibility to act in a film based on JRR Tolkiens popular fantasy novel `The Hobbit`.

Los Angeles: `Harry Potter` star Daniel Radcliffe has shot down the possibility to act in a film based on JRR Tolkiens popular fantasy novel `The Hobbit`. The young actor who was rumoured to be a potential candidate for the the character of `Bilbo Baggins` has denied the possibility of joining the film as he lacks interest in the part, Los Angeles Times reported.
"I`d have to say, `Thanks but no thanks,` not that anyone has asked me," Radcliffe said when asked about the possibility of acting in the film. The 20-year-old star said that he`s not interested in any more magical stuff and pointed out that he`s not the best choice for the role. "Honestly, I don`t think they would want me anyway, it`s just too close. Whatever I do next, I don`t think there will be any wizards in it. James McAvoy is fantastic and I think he should play it," Radcliffe said. "I`ve done the fantasy-film thing. Actually, so has he, with the `Chronicles of Narnia,` of course. But I`ve done it for longer. He can take over. I`m done. I don`t think anybody involved in that would want me to, either," he added. `The Hobbit` which is planned to be made into two-part movies and is expected to go on floor in march next year with actors Hugo Weaving, Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis.
