Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, the lifestyle ambassador of the newly launched TV channel `Food Food` said one of the reasons for her to marry Dr Shriram Nene was his culinary skills.

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit, the lifestyle ambassador of the newly launched TV channel `Food Food` said one of the reasons for her to marry Dr Shriram Nene was his culinary skills.
"I am not that great a cook. But I love to cook and eat. My husband cooks better than me. I was impressed with his (Dr Nene) culinary skills?and that was one of the reasons to marry him," Madhuri said.
It is rightly said that the way to win a man`s heart is through his stomach...it aptly suits the women as well, she said.
The actress is appointed as lifestyle ambassador of Food Food, a 24x7 Hindi TV channel on food.
"I am excited about this new concept and I am looking forward to contributing as its lifestyle ambassador," Madhuri said.
Asked what her favourite recipe is and pat comes the reply, `Kanda Poha` and all Maharashtrian food.
When asked what recipe will she make and for which Khan`s - Salman, Shahrukh and Aamir, Madhuri said, "I will make a vegetarian recipe for Shahrukh. He is very sweet. And even if the food is not that good, he would say it is lovely. Among the actress I will make food for Rani Mukherjee as we get along very well."
Food Food is a joint venture between Malaysia`s leading cross-media group, Astro All Asia Networks and Turmeric Vision Private Limited, a television company owned by celebrity Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and his wife Alyona Kapoor.
The Food Food channel would go on air from January 24.
"In India people are as passionate about food as cricket and bollywood. I was working on this project for seven years. The channel will set a benchmark in India. We are more than just a cooking show.. There will be celebrity shows, cooking competition and travelogues," Kapoor said.
Renowned Chefs like Rakesh Sethi along with chefs Nitin Tandon, Shantanu Gupte and Anurag Bali among others will be doing different shows on the channel.
In order to connect with Indian audiences across the country, the channel will feature shows about food and lifestyle like `Firangi Tadka`, `Sirf 30 minute`, Sanjeev Kapoor`s kitchen`, `Chef Ka Muquabla` and others.
The channel will be available in both digital and analog formats pan-India.
