London: Hollywood superstars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who have been dogged with split rumours, stepped out in a show of togetherness but all in vain as the couple looked cold and distant.
The couple, who are rarely spotted together at public events apart from awards season or their film premieres, stepped out together at the the Museum of Contemporary Art`s new 30th anniversary exhibition in Los Angeles.
However, far from their usual red carpet public displays of affection, the couple simply walked a short distance apart as they were shown the gallery`s collection on a private tour, reported a news website.
Pitt and Jolie walked quietly around the gallery, ooking at pieces by artists such as Jackson Pollock and Piet Mondrian, occasionally separating to study pieces more closely on their own.
Wearing a strapless black Armani Prive gown, Jolie, 34, looked tired and slim with her arms looking veiny. While Pitt, 45, looked dapper in his black Tom Ford suit, but gave his smart look a scruffy touch with a greying beard threaded into tiny hippy beads.
The pair`s outing followed after weeks of revelations about their private life in excerpts from the upcoming biography `Brangelina` by Ian Halperin.
The book claims that the couple "fight like cat dogs" over their kids. Another claim stated that Jolie reportedly spearheaded a mean-spirited campaign against Pitt`s ex-wife
actress Jennifer Aniston.
