Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg took her mind off her ailing mother with a shopping spree at the weekend, spending as much as USD 5,000 at the NBA store in New York.

London: Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg took her mind off her ailing mother with a shopping spree at the weekend, spending as much as USD 5,000 at the NBA store in New York.
The actress had to rush back home last month after her mother Emma had a stroke. But Goldberg took time out to indulge in some retail therapy with a group of young relatives at the basketball goods outlet on Fifth Avenue and blew USD 2,300 only on a life-size photograph of hoop-shooting hero Michael Jordan, reports a news website.
