I’m a rubbish girlfriend, says singer Adele Adkins

London: Adele Adkins thinks that she is a rubbish girlfriend because she is ‘really needy’.

In an exclusive interview, the 23-year-old said that after the break-up of her first “proper” relationship she hopes that getting older might help her adopt a more mature attitude to love in the future. “I’m actually not that great a girlfriend,” the Mirror quoted her as saying. “I’m rubbish! I’ve got so many flaws and I’m really needy. I was getting jealous in my last relationship – and I’m the least jealous person I know – but I was getting jealous of teenage girls fancying my fella!” she added. “I know myself better now,” she said. “I know what you have to put into a relationship. When I was younger, relationships were quite flimsy. Even though they mean a lot, they’re still quite playground-y. “You can go to sleep and then wake in the morning and be, ‘Oh, I don’t want to be here any more’, and it’s not a big deal. “I’ve learned the main thing in life is that you get what you put in,” she added.
