Katy Perry, Russell Brand buy $6.5M Sunset Strip mansion

New York: Katy Perry and Russell Brand have reportedly purchased a house in the Sunset Strip area for 6.5 million dollars.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the Mediterranean-style home, constructed in 1925, is gated and sits on nearly 3 acres with a guesthouse and swimming pool, reports the New York Daily News. The house has 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms. Interesting touches include stained-glass windows and a carved fireplace mantel. The three-story, 8,835-square-foot mansion is in the Laurel Cannon Boulevard corridor, according to Realtor.com. Former National Lampoon Chief Executive Daniel Laikin, who bought the property in 2004 for 4.5 million dollars and listed it in November for 7.995 million dollars, sold the home. The couple also owns a Tribeca penthouse, thought to be purchased for 2.7 million dollars. ANI
