Los Angeles: Former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger`s daughter, Katherine was honoured at the GirlPower Awards luncheon for being an inspiration to young women.
The action star`s wife Maria Shriver, who is reportedly devastated after her husband confessed to fathering a love child with a housekeeper a decade ago, has taken to Twitter to express her joy.
"Congrats to my beautiful and brilliant daughter, K Schwarzenegger, for receiving the GirlPower Award," wrote Shriver, 55, on Twitter after nearly a week-long break from the micro blogging site.
The mother-daughter wrote `Rock What You`ve Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who`s Been There and Back` last year.
The former first lady of California was present at the A Place Called Home`s luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
