It`s the end of the `Pirates` journey for Keira Knightley

London: It`s the end of the road for British beauty, Keira Knightley`s `Pirates of the Carribbean` journey as she has confirmed quitting the hit movie franchise.The 24-year-old actress who played Elizabeth Swann in the first three Pirates epics, admits she had decided not to appear in the forthcoming film because of the amount of time each one takes to make, Daily Mail reported online.

"I had an amazing time on it. It was an extraordinary experience but you know it was three years of my life, pretty much, three and a half years, and I think that`s quite a lot," Knightley said. The Academy-award nominated star will not appear in opposite actors Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom in the fourth film in the series titled `Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides` whose filming is due to start later this year. "Now I am looking forward to new adventures. I`m looking forward to doing other things," Knightley said. PTI
