Daredevil Akshay Kumar injured, rushed to hospital

Mumbai: Bollywood’s original daredevil, Akshay Kumar has emerged unscratched from several deadly combats and life threatening action sequences in the past. But the actor had to pay dearly for his fixation with grueling action scenes during the filming of ‘Housefull’ where he was injured seriously. It so happened that while shooting for an action scene, Akshay had to dive into the deep end of a swimming pool when his timing went wrong and water entered his ears. Though the actor came out immediately, the harm was already done as the water had reached his eardrums. Not realizing the impact of the injury, the actor went ahead with the shooting, however at around 4am he complained to a grueling pain in his ears and was instantly rushed to a hospital. Confirming the news a source said, “Akshay has to report to the sets of his new film ‘Khatta Meetha’ at Baramati today. A special chopper has been hired to take him there as he isn’t feeling too well due to his ear injury.” Sajid Khan, director of ‘Houseful,’ further added, “Yes, Akshay did injure his ear but there is nothing to worry about now.”
