New Delhi: Motorola is raring to bring the Moto G to the Indian shores.
A recent post on Twitter suggests that the company behind the Moto X is set to launch the budget Moto G in the country as early as January.
Quite recently Motorola users who purchased the Moto G from its website, or from Amazon, were treated to an update courtesy Google's Android OS.
The Motorola Moto G will now be seen running on the latest in Android OS — Kitkat.
However, the Moto X maker hasn't made it clear on which carriers would the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update be available one.
To give you a taste of its specs again, Moto G runs on a 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. The display on the phone is a 4.5-inch with 1280x720p resolution and has pixel density of 329ppi, it also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect against scratches.
Moto G has 8GB internal storage and a water-repellent coating. The phone sports a 5MP rear camera and 1.2MP front unit and is powered by a non-removable Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery.
The handset sells at less than USD 200 without a contract in the US market, while for an unlocked entry-level Moto G customers will have to pay USD 179.
