‘Mausam’ music launch stalled due to London riots

Pankaj Kapur has been forced to cancel the launch of his music for his directorial debut ‘Mausam’ due to unrest in London.

Dubai: Pankaj Kapur has been forced to cancel the launch of his music for his directorial debut ‘Mausam’ due to unrest in London.
The 57-year-old Indian actor was all set to launch the music of ‘Mausam’, which features his son, Shahid Kapur and Sonam Kapoor in the lead roles in London, which was cancelled due to unrest in the British capital. The music launch was to be held in London as the movie had been filmed there and producers of the movie had planned to hold a special event in Hyde Park on 15th August, which also included performances by the lead actors. “Shahid and Sonam were even scheduled to perform at the function,” Gulf News quoted a source as saying. The 30-year-old actor, who is currently in the UK shooting for Kunal Kohli’s next film had planned the launch. “It made it easier for him to coordinate the music release,” the source said. The riots in London following the police shooting of Mark Duggan led to the change of plans, with the release now being held in India. “They just felt it wasn’t right to hold a celebration now. Shahid will put the plan in place as soon as he gets back to Mumbai,” the source added. ANI
