Zeebiz BureauNew Delhi: Apple Inc has been found guilty of violating three patents.
A US Jury has found that iPhone infringed patents that cover camera phone features that were acquired from Nokia and Sony Corp owned by holding company MobileMedia Ideas.
The trial only concerned liability, and damages proceeding have not yet been scheduled. MobileMedia also has litigation pending against HTC Corp and Research in Motion Ltd.
In court filings, Apple has asked a judge to rule that MobileMedia's patents are invalid as a matter of law, and that there is no "legally sufficient" basis to find MobileMedia has proven infringement.
