Zeebiz BureauNew Delhi: Bharti Airtel is seeking to sell up to a quarter of its satellite TV services arm, sources have revealed.
India’s top telecommunications carrier is looking at a valuation of over USD 1 billion. The valuation is for the unit that had approximately 7.9 million digital television customers as of December.
According to one of the sources, US-based Liberty Global Inc and some private equity investors are among those interested in the potential stake sale.
Both sources declined to be named as the plan is not public yet.
