Alanis Morissette expecting her first child

Los Angeles: Canadian-American singer Alanis Morissette is expecting her first child with husband Mario `Souleye` Treadway.

The Grammy-award-winning musician tied the knot with rapper Mario in May and is now pregnant with the couple`s first child, People reported. "The singer-songwriter, 36, and husband Mario `Souleye` Treadway are expecting their first child," her representative said. "Yes, happy news ... I`m pregnant. We`re so excited to start our family," Morissette wrote on micro-blogging website Twitter. In her music career, Morissette has won seven Grammy award. Her first internationally released album, `Jagged Little Pill` remains the best-selling debut album by a female artist in the US and the highest selling debut album worldwide, selling 30 million records.
