London: Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood is set to reunite with his old The Faces bandmate Rod Stewart as both of them have a break in their schedule.
The 64-year-old rocker is keen to work with Stewart, especially now that the Stones` 50th anniversary tour next year is doubtful, reported Daily Express online.
"Ron and Rod have both talked about doing something together again for ages but it`s been a question of conflicting schedules. Ron has been holding off committing to anything too far down the line because it was presumed the Stones would be back in the coming months. Now that seems to be off the agenda, there`s a chance for Ron and Rod to do something together next year," a source said.
Last week, Stones` frontman Mick Jagger warned fans not to "hold their breath" for a tour next year.
Earlier this year, Stewart and Wood thrilled the crowd at London`s Hard Rock Calling when the `Hot Legs` hitmaker halted a performance of his classic track `Maggie May` to invite his "old mucker" to play guitar on the song, which they then followed with The Faces` most famous track `Stay With Me`.
