New Delhi: Distancing itself from online retail sites in India, Chinese smartphone and PC maker Lenovo has cautioned consumers against buying the company's product from the sites.

Terming e-commerce players like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal as “not authorised resellers,” Lenovo has put out a notice urging consumers to buy product from the company's exclusive stores.

The company has said that consumers can also buy Lenovo products from its own e-commerce portal

An advisory on the company website reads, "E-commerce websites like Snapdeal, Flipkart and Amazon. In are not authorised Lenovo resellers. We encourage you to check your warranty entitlements when you buy from these websites,"

However the online retail companies have said that the products selling on their website are 'genuine' and 'eligible for warranty'.
