London: Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman has launched a campaign to help working women across the globe to create a better future for their families.
The 30-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with fiancee Benjamin Millepied this summer, has teamed up with `Avatar` star Zoe Saldana for `The Foundation for International Community Assistance`s (FINCA) Lend a Hand initiative. The campaign provides small loans to women to support their loved ones, reported Femalefirst. "I`m so proud to serve with Finca in helping impoverished women become self-sustaining," said Portman, who is FINCA`s Ambassador of Hope, in a statement. While Saldana added, "There are so many women in the world who are less fortunate, and struggling to provide for their families". PTI
