NCW advisory to TV channel airing Rakhi`s show

New Delhi: The National Commission for Women has taken a serious note of the tone and tenor of the language used by reality TV star Rakhi Sawant in a talk show hosted by her and issued an advisory to the channel running the programme.

Taking cognizance of the remarks of Sawant in the show `Rakhi Ki Insaaf`, NCW Chairperson Girija Vyas said the Commission has the channel should take care to avoid "objectionable" remarks which cause widespread public outrage. The NCW has issued an advisory to the entertainment channel in this regard. Vyas said she has also written to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to expedite the content code and broadcast regulation in public interest. PTI
