London: ‘Sex and the City’ star Sarah Jessica Parker`s longtime make-up artist has apologised after she was caught in a shoplifting scandal.
The 47-year-old actress was boarding a plane from Norway to New York when she found herself in the middle of a police investigation after a member of her entourage was accused of stealing a pair of sunglasses from a terminal shop. Now Leslie Lopez, a make-up artist who has worked with Parker for eight years, has come forward to explain just what happened at Oslo Airport, and apologise for causing any embarrassment, reported Daily Mail. "I was purchasing items in a duty free shop early yesterday at the Oslo airport and mistakenly failed to remove a pair of sunglasses from my cart while rushing to the gate," she said. "While there have been no charges against me, I am sorry for any embarrassment this misunderstanding has caused," she added. Lopez, who has also done Gwyneth Paltrow`s make-up, appeared on the November cover of a beauty-themed issue of The Hollywood Reporter hugging her client Parker. Parker, who was in Europe to co-host the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert with Gerard Butler, was eventually able to fly back to the US after Lopez paid 875 pounds fine. PTI
