Washington: Australian actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that he was inspired to get in shape for ‘Real Steel’ by listening to the ‘Rocky’ soundtrack.
The actor, who “loves” all the boxing movies, revealed that he was inspired by the music when he was getting fit for the role of former boxer Charlie Kenton in his latest motion picture. “My favourite boxing movie is a documentary called ‘When We Were Kings’, which I would put in my top 10 of all time, but I love all the ‘Rocky’ movies. I’ll be honest, and I know it’s corny, but I listen to the ‘Rocky’ theme when I’m training,” Contactmusic quoted him as telling BANG Showbiz while speaking at a press conference in London. ‘Real Steel’ director Shawn Levy admits the ‘Rocky’ movies also played a part in the way he made the film, despite not holding them all in high regard.
